Still Alive

Friday, July 28th, 2006

I am still alive. I have been taking a bit of a blog hiatus, not for any good reason, but just because I have been working a lot this summer and have been pretty worn out. I have been teaching a summer science intervention class for kids who haven’t passed the Ohio Graduation Test. I have enjoyed it, but am glad I am taking a vacation next week. I will be going near Lake Erie.

I recently got an apartment about 2 minutes from the school where I will be teaching. It’s nice, quiet, and reasonably priced. I also just got in a shipment of vitamins from Healthy America. They are a new company that has good prices. I have been happy with them so far, so if you are interested in supplements for a lower price, I recommend them. I have been enjoying running, playing tennis, playing racketball, and swimming. Maybe this is why I have been worn out lately. In net-related news, our forum is cooking, thanks to a discussion going on about the Charismatic Episcopal Church.

I hope you all are enjoying your summer.

New Job!

I will be teaching religion this fall at a Catholic Junior high and High School in a town of about 35,000 people, 90 miles from my hometown. The population and distance from “home” are ideal for where I want to be right now. It is a small school, and I will be the religion department, since I will be teaching every grade level. This will be a great chance to teach and learn about a variety of Catholic subjects.
